About The GuildFounded in 1984, the Kansas City Woodworkers' Guild began as a small group of enthusiasts dedicated to the craft of woodworking. The Guild was incorporated as a 501c3 nonprofit in 1992. Our purpose is to promote the craft of woodworking through educational programs, provide a supportive community for woodworkers of all skill levels, and give back to our local area through charitable projects. A key moment in our history was the establishment of our own dedicated workshop, which has become the heart of our organization. This space is equipped with top-tier machines and hand tools, and we maintain policies to ensure a safe environment for all. We also regularly host classes and workshops with master woodworkers to expand our members' skills. We've grown to over 800 members and continue to be a hub for learning and collaboration. Whether you’re picking up a chisel for the very first time or you’re a seasoned artisan, the Kansas City Woodworkers Guild is where your woodworking journey truly takes off. We provide everything you need to sharpen your skills and deepen your love for the craft. Join us and become part of our story! We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at 7pm. Anyone interested in joining the Guild is welcome to attend a meeting. |

The Kansas City Woodworkers' Guild is run entirely by a volunteer Executive Board and Leadership Committee, elected by our members. These individuals freely give their time to ensure a great experience for our entire community.
Because we are a volunteer-run organization, we do not have an office staff or phone service. The best way to contact us is by emailing the relevant individual below.
